Vadlo Terms of Use

Effective date: 12 October 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and the people who run Vadlo (“we”, “us”). They apply when you use the Vadlo app (“the app”) or this website. By using Vadlo you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

1. What Vadlo is

Vadlo (વડલો) lets a family keep its family tree (vanshavali) in one place. Each family has an admin who reviews the changes that members suggest. Vadlo is free to use.

2. Your account

3. What you add to the tree

4. Family admins

A family admin decides which changes are approved for their family's tree, whether the tree is shared with people from the same village, and who the next admin is. Admins should act fairly and in the interest of the whole family. Vadlo is not responsible for disagreements between family members about what the tree should say.

5. What you must not do

We may remove content, and suspend or close accounts, that break these terms or the law.

6. Your information

How we collect, use and protect your information is described in our privacy policy, which forms part of these terms. You can delete your account at any time (see how to delete your account).

7. Accuracy and availability

The tree is only as accurate as the information the family puts in it. We do not check it, and you should not rely on it as a legal record of descent, inheritance or identity. We work to keep Vadlo running, but we do not promise that it will always be available or error-free, or that nothing will be lost. Keep your own copy of anything important, for example by sharing the tree as a picture.

8. Our responsibility

Vadlo is provided “as is”. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of Vadlo, and because Vadlo is free, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us, which is nothing. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have by law that cannot be limited.

9. Changes

We may change these terms, and may change or stop parts of Vadlo. The latest terms are always on this page with the effective date above. If you keep using Vadlo after a change, you accept the new terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in India will have jurisdiction over any dispute, unless the law gives you the right to go elsewhere.
